Dental Fx is a well-established dental practice based in Bearsden, Glasgow. We welcome new patients for general, family, preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, as well as dental implants. We accept new patients for private dentistry.
A Modern Practice
The team at Dental Fx is led by Dr James Millar, who has a passion for all aspects of dentistry and a special interest in dental implants. James took the practice over from Dr Stephen Jacobs in 2023, and continues the same high quality provision.
Every member of the team at our Bearsden practice shares James’ passion and commitment for providing the highest standards of dental care. We see patients of all ages and from all backgrounds, whether they require a general dental check-up or a full-mouth reconstruction using dental implants.
Our treatments are available with sedation for anxious patients.

Are you easy to get to?
Dental Fx is conveniently located right next to Bearsden railway station. We welcome new patients from across Glasgow and beyond. Whatever your dental needs, we look forward to seeing you at our practice very soon.
When can I make an appointment?
At Dental Fx we understand that many of our patients have busy lifestyles, which is why we offer early evening appointments (until 6pm on Monday to Friday and we close between 1 – 2 every day). We are pleased to embrace the latest tried and tested technology, including a cone beam CT scanner on site, and are not afraid to make changes where needed; we have regular practice meetings to assess the practice and identify any areas where improvements could be made.
Do you treat anxious patients?
Yes we understand for some people coming to the practice can be harder than for others. Find out what to expect when you visit.
Referrals
We offer a referral system for dentists whose patients are interested in having implant treatment. This is in response to growing demand for dental implants to replace missing teeth and dentures.
