What are veneers?

Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain or ceramic that can be placed over the front surface of a tooth and bonded securely into place. They will be closely matched to the natural colour of your teeth for a realistic looking result.

Veneers can treat:

  • discolouration
  • internal staining
  • small chips
  • minor alignment issues

The Process

1

Consultation

Your dentist will discuss options with you to improve your smile.

2

Preparation

Your dentist will prepare your tooth by removing a small amount of enamel, and will take impressions of your tooth, which are sent to the laboratory for your veneers to be made. This can take from one to two weeks.

3

Fitting

Once your veneer is ready, your dentist will use a special bonding material to fit the veneer to your tooth.
