What is whitening?

Whitening is the process of lightening your own teeth using specially supplied whitening gels. These fit into custom made trays which allow you to whiten your teeth safely over a couple of weeks.

Whitening can be used to treat:

  • yellowing of the teeth
  • mild mottling

Your dentist will check if you are suitable for whitening and address any dental needs first.

Impressions

Impressions are made of your teeth and gums to enable the manufacture of a custom made whitening tray.

Fit & Demonstration

Your dentist will check the fit of your tray, and demonstrate how to use the gel to ensure safe whitening.

At Home Whitening

Using the trays and gel for a few hours every day to whiten your teeth over a couple of weeks.

Do my fillings / crowns whiten?

Only natural tooth will whiten, you can have restorations replaced to match after whitening if necessary.
