Difficult extractions & Other procedures

What is Oral Surgery?
Dental FX offer a wide range of oral surgery procedures. Impacted wisdom teeth, buried roots, teeth near to your sinus can all require oral surgery to remove. We see patients who contact us directly, or your own dentist can refer you to our practice.
Our team are able to competently and efficiently remove these difficult teeth minimising healing times. This can be particularly important if you are planning on having implants.
Our treatments are also available with sedation.

FAQs
Does my wisdom tooth need to be removed?
In the past it was common for wisdom teeth to be removed but nowadays, if the tooth is not causing problems, your dentist will not want to remove it. We will only remove wisdom teeth:
– When it is evident that the tooth (or teeth) will not be able to come through into a useful position. This can be because there is not enough room and they are also causing some pain or discomfort.
– If they have only partly come through and are decayed and there is no sign that they will come through any further – such teeth will often decay as it will be difficult to clean them as thoroughly as your other teeth and therefore the best option would be to remove the tooth.
– If they cause continual pain.
I am very anxious, can you help?
Our dentists are all experienced with caring for anxious patients. In addition to our calm and experienced team, patients can opt to have sedation for their treatment.
